Missouri Student Unions Money Matters
FY 2007-08 (actual Fiscal results)

Where does our revenue come from and where does it go?

The Missouri Student Unions budget is a “Financial representation” of its strategic and operational plan.
The next few pages outline the budget — those monies that are received directly from the general operating fund (GO, state funding), auxiliary enterprises, service operations and student activity fees and how those monies are spent.

OPERATING FUNDS?

TOTAL MEMORIAL STUDENT UNION SOURCE OF
OPERATING FUNDS

Total: $2,299,301

The below chart details the various components of
the revenue budget for the Missouri Student Unions.
The bulk of Student Unions funding comes from
student activity fees (51.7 percent) followed by our
allocation of GO funding from the campus (20.1
percent). The remainder comes from a variety of
sources, including meeting space rental (to campus
and non-campus customers), rental of operating
space to campus entities, and auxiliary operations.
As an auxiliary operation, T.A. Brady’s Snack, Rack, &
Bowl (which is located at Brady Student Commons),
provides on-campus entertainment for students.
The level of general operating funding to the
Missouri Student Unions has been held constant
since fiscal year 2003-4.
