MU Student Center - continuing the tradition

  • Phase I of the MU Student Center is a dynamic and vibrant gathering place for Mizzou students, alumni and guests.
  • Currently under construction, Phase II of the Student Center promises to provide quality facilities to promote living and learning experiences for the Mizzou community.

More than a building, it's our home

The new student center project is a multi-phase project involving new construction at Hitt and Rollins and the demolition and renovation of what was once Brady Commons. New construction built on the original footprint will merge with the new structure to create a student center twice the size of the former building. This project came about in response to ongoing student needs. Student voices are at the heart of this project.

Student Voices Lead to a New Student Center:

 –  “More food court options”
 –  “A building that’s bright, open and easy to get around”

Through this project, we will:

  • celebrate the Mizzou student experience — past, present and future
  • support out of classroom learning and leadership development
  • promote community involvement
  • provide safe and welcoming environments for Mizzou students while on campus
  • meet students’ basic needs for food, books and supplies

At Mizzou, the new Student Center will offer a place for students to make their own college memories—a place to make friends-- to study, to relax, to get involved, or to just hang out. Growth and learning happen in and out of the classroom, so quality facilities and resources are important to student success. The Student Center provides opportunities that integrate students’ out-of-classroom experiences.
